冷再生機(jī)施工有沒有地域限制呢？全國各地的瀝再路面均可使用此種工藝。據(jù)測(cè)算，若推廣使用，一個(gè)地級(jí)市應(yīng)配置3-5臺(tái)。作為歐美發(fā)達(dá)地區(qū)已得到成熟應(yīng)用的機(jī)型的，在國內(nèi)保有量卻如此地低，原因有多方面，進(jìn)口機(jī)型昂貴的價(jià)格應(yīng)該是主要原因之一。

冷再生租賃機(jī)的工作裝置是安裝有大量專用銑刨刀的銑刨拌和轉(zhuǎn)子。機(jī)器在舊路面上沿工作面行駛，轉(zhuǎn)子下降到設(shè)定深度，高速旋轉(zhuǎn)，銑刨并破碎拌和原路面材料（包括面層和基層），同時(shí)噴水系統(tǒng)根據(jù)行駛速度及銑刨深度，從伴隨的水車中抽水，向工作裝置罩殼內(nèi)自動(dòng)噴灑定量的水。

就地冷再生技術(shù)不僅適用于高等級(jí)公路的維修與改造，也適用于一般道路及鄉(xiāng)間公路的維修與改造。此技術(shù)在上世紀(jì)五十年代開始在歐美等國家得到應(yīng)用，目前已是發(fā)達(dá)國家已獲得較為普遍的應(yīng)用，并常常作為路面維修的首選方案。
